Killswitch Engage is coming to San Diego at Soma next month. I had never heard of this band before but as I was reading up on their Wiki I started to get intrigued by their style. Apparently they are a hard rock band that focuses on bringing about positive change and being optimistic. Wiki says:

The sound of Killswitch Engage is characterized by a mix of powerful riffing, double bass drum patterns, and dynamic vocals expressing lyrics based on positive change and optimism. Other notable features of their sound include the use of complex single-note articulations, power chord riffs, twin-guitar harmonies, and pinch harmonics i.e. pick squeals and artifical harmonics.

Sounds like an interesting band to see. If you can’t find the tickets you want to this show at the box office here are the places to shop for after market tickets:

1. AIW Tickets always has a great inventory and usually has the cheapest prices too.

2. Stubhub is an excellent place to shop online as well.
They’ll even let you sell your tickets there.

3. TicketsNow is also a solid after market ticket vendor and usually has access the hard to find tickets

4. If those aren’t cutting it for you try a couple of these ticket vendors as well:

If you’re wondering where the band came from here is some info from Wiki for your reading pleasure:

Killswitch Engage, also known simply as Killswitch (or KsE) is an American Metalcore band. Following the demise of his old rugged washed up band Overcast in 1998, bassist Mike D’Antonio explored the underground Massachusetts hardcore punk and heavy metal scenes in search of members for a new band. In 1999, D’Antonio met Adam Dutkiewicz and Joel Stroetzel, guitarists for Aftershock. Dutkiewicz took the role of playing drums, while Stroetzel remained on guitar. The trio searched for a vocalist and eventually hired Jesse Leach, formerly of Corrin and Nothing Stays Gold. The now four-member band took the name of “Killswitch Engage,” a name proposed by D’Antonio after watching an episode of the FOX program The X-Files entitled “Kill Switch”. The episode’s writer, William Gibson, came up with the title after a chance meeting with the industrial band Kill Switch…Klick; the two bands are otherwise unrelated.
